Bids were
invited on the main work at the end of September 1999 and redeived in
March 2000. Contrcts were awarded at the end of 2000. The shell construction
work on the Uetliberg Tunnel, which will take about six years, commenced
in March 2001. The tunnel is scheduled to open in 2009. |
